The folks from the Hiwasee chapter did a great job with their insect sampling and fly tying instruction, while the folks from our chapter worked on casting and fishing techniques. A chub, red eye, and a snake were caught. Although not many fish were caught, we did see a beautiful scene of the moon rising, with a pale orange glow reflecting against the water as fog rose from the river. The boys had a great time, and were pretty well exhausted as were their teachers as they packed for home early Sunday afternoon. They are looking forward to using their newly aquired skills again soon. Thanks to all the volunteers that made this experience possible. -Robert Wilson |
