 What: Appalachian Chapter of Trout Unlimited March Meeting
Where: Greenway Farm off of Gann Store Road in Hixson
When: March 15th, at 6:30 PM
This month's program will be about trout fishing in Georgia and the services Unicoi Outfitters provides, presented by Jimmy Harris.
Jimmy is the owner of Unicoi Outfitters, which has two full-service fly shops with guide service in north Georgia. Unicoi has been fortunate over the past 8 years to be featured on a variety of television shows on ESPN, the Outdoor Life Network, Turner South and Georgia Public Television. At last count, we have been on over 2 dozen TV shows. Our private trophy trout waters have also been written up in most of the nationally distributed fly fishing magazines.
He is a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited and serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Foothills Chapter. He also serves as the Newsletter Editor for the chapter.
He is actively involved with mentoring new anglers in the trout fishing community of north Georgia.
We will meet at the Greenway Farm Clubhouse at 6:30 PM on the third Thursday of the month, March 15th. |

Fishing out West can cost an arm and a leg. Charlie Bagley has been going out West for several years and has learned a few tricks on how to save money. At this month's meeting, he'll discuss how to go out West fishing on $100.00 a day. Join us this Thursday night. |

What: Behind the Scenes Tour of the Tennessee Aquarium
Where: Tennessee Aquarium, Downtown Chattanooga
When: January 25th, at 6:00 PM at the Member's Entrance. Generally our monthly meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Greenway Farm. This month we are having a special meeting on a different date, January 25th at 6:00 PM. We will meet at the Tennessee Aquarium at the member's entrance. Rob Mottice, a fishery biologist form the Aquarium, will give us a behind the scenes aquarium tour and show us what it takes to keep the it going. The tours are always educational and fun. Thanks to Rob and the Tennessee Aquarium. We hope to see you and your family there. |

In lieu of a meeting this month, the Appalachian TU Christmas party will be held at Charles Bagley's House on 14 December 2006. The event will start at 6:30 PM. Charles will furnish some how finger foods i.e., Pigs in blanket, miniature kish, and drinks. Bring a favorite desert or chip and dip if you like. An RSVP would be appreciated, 614-4596. Directions: From Chattanooga
Travel I-75 to Cleveland Exit 27(Fireworks Store Exit). Take Exit 27 ramp and go right at end or ramp onto Highway 64 East-Ocoee. Go 6.2 miles , exit right to Highway 64 East -Ocoee. Go 4.0 miles and turn left on Hancock Road at Ocoee Winery. Travel 3/4 mile to 4-way stop. Turn left at 4-way stop onto Old Parksville Road and proceed to the third driveway on the left. Charles's house is the chalet style house approximately 300 feet up this driveway.

From where Highway 60 crosses I-75 drive 4.3 miles and take the Highway 64 East -Ocoee exit. Travel Highway 64 East 4.0 miles and turn on Hanciock Road at the Ocoee Winery. Travel 3/4mile to the 4-way stop. Turn left at 4-way stop onto Old Parksville Rd. and proceed to the third driveway on the left. When: November 16th, at 6:30 PM Dane Law of Southern Anglers will present Our Favorite Waters. Dane's presentation will feature information and tidbits about the Hiwassee, Taccoa, Tellico, Clinch, Holston and Cumberland watersheds.
