TU Fish Sampling Update
Wednesday, 26 August 2009
ImageThis is an update and a reminder about this weekend's fish sampling. Due to logistical issues, we won't be moving brookies from Sycamore Creek to Roaring Branch.  We will electrofish McNabb, Rough Ridge, and Big Cove.   After the sampling, Don Denny will do an insect sampling, looking at what kinds of bugs are in the stream and evaluating the water quality based on those bugs. In addition to sampling these streams for fish and bugs, Jim Herrig will bring wetsuits, masks, and snorkels and we'll look at the habitat from a fish's perspective Saturday afternoon in the North River.  If you want to see where the trout really hang,  bring a swim suit, towel, and wading shoes.
